Message From The President

Hey y’all! My name is Emmi Luther and I have the honor of serving as the President of the Delta Gamma Beta Psi chapter this year. I am so excited for you to explore our website and get a glimpse into our incredible sisterhood.

Delta Gamma has blessed my life in so many ways. When I ran home in 2023, I never could have imagined myself in this position. This chapter has given me confidence, lifelong friendships, meaningful connections, and leadership experiences that I will carry with me long after graduation. Through every rose and every thorn, Delta Gamma has helped me stay anchored in my values. I would not be who I am today without these women and I am grateful for them every single day.

Our letters, DG, stand for Do Good, and for us, it is far more than a motto. It is the heartbeat of who we are. As Delta Gammas, we are grounded in five core values: high ideals of friendship, social responsibility, qualities of character, educational interests, and cultural interests. These are not just words we recite. They are the values we live out daily and the foundation of the sisterhood we are lucky enough to share.

Our golden anchor symbolizes hope, support, and resilience. Just as an anchor steadies a ship through any storm, we strive to be that same steady and unwavering source of strength for each other. Wearing our anchor reminds us of our promise to lift one another up, to lead with kindness, and to Do Good in every moment.

Doing Good is at the heart of our chapter’s impact. This past year, Beta Psi raised more than 30,000 dollars for Service for Sight, contributing to the 1.6 million dollars that our chapter has raised throughout its lifetime. Our commitment to philanthropy reflects our commitment to each other and to the world around us.

Our women are leaders across campus in Capstone Men and Women, Greek Ambassadors, the Student Government Association, academic organizations, and club sports. We are especially proud that the first female president of the University of Alabama is a Delta Gamma Beta Psi alumna. Her success represents the enduring legacy of leadership, strength, and character within our chapter.

The bond within Beta Psi extends far beyond our time on campus. We are closely connected with our alumnae, who continue to support, mentor, and cheer on our chapter. That connection is part of what makes our sisterhood so meaningful. We treasure our traditions, whether it is our annual sisterhood events or decorating the house together during the winter season. These moments fill our home with joy and keep our sisterhood strong.

Delta Gamma is more than a college experience. It is a lifelong gift. The friendships, memories, and values we build here stay with us long after graduation. Becoming a Delta Gamma has been the best decision I have ever made. Leading this chapter is a privilege I will never take for granted.

I hope you enjoy exploring our website and discovering what makes Delta Gamma so special. We cannot wait to welcome you into our home and share our sisterhood with you.

ITB,

Emmi Luther
